Sympathetic nerves cause peristaltic contractions of reproductive ducts and accessory glands. the smooth muscle sphincter at the base of the bladder reflexively closes. semen moves into the urethra (some may seep out). what stage of the male reproductive physiology is this?

    The answer is Ejaculation. It is the discharge of semen from the male reproductive tract with an orgasm. It causes the peristaltic contraction of the reproductive duct and some accessory gland. The smooth muscle sphincter closes and semen moves into urethra.
