What compound in cells and blood causes hydrogen peroxide to react, and what are the products of the reaction?

    Because blood and most living cells contain the enzyme catalase, which attacks hydrogen peroxide it converts it into H2O) and (O2). Hydrogen peroxide has been used as an antiseptic it kills bacteria cells by destroying their cell walls.
