    A possible explanation for what darwin observed was the birds had beaks that were adapted for feeding differently. Why he was studying the birds beaks that have been adapted for different food was because he noticed that there were birds that may have came from the same ancestor but they all had different characteristics and he soon realized it was becasue they all were adapted for each island the bird was at.
