Earth has a breathable atmosphere. Oxygen is the gas that is required for the life of most creatures. Earth has a suitable temperature. Earth has water. All planets receive light from the Sun, but no planet uses it as usefully as Earth. Earth's solid inner core and liquid outer core play crucial roles in protecting life from deadly solar radiation. Jupiter shields Earth from constant stellar bombardment. The sun provides Earth with the energy for life and is rather stable. Our large moon ensures climate stability by minimizing changes in planetary tilt.
