How are slumps and slides different?

    If you are talking about slides refering to rock slides then we can say that slumps are smaller than rock slides. Also one of the main diferences is how they are built in slopes. Slumps naturaly as a base of a slope. Slide occurs where there is a tilted plane of weakness.
