Cyclins function not only in testis in the meiotic cell cycle but practically all body parts because cyclins are mainly involved in cell division and formation of new cells takes place almost everywhere in the body. Examples are cyclin A1 and cyclin A1-associated kinase activities regulated during the mitotic cell cycle.
