Heart is a muscular pumpong organ located in the chest cavity and covered in a protective layer called pericardium. There is a fluid between heart and pericardium called pericardial fluid.

    Structure if heart:

Heart is composed of four chambers, two are auricles and two are ventricles. These are:

Right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle.

Pumping action of heart:Deoxygenated blood from upper parts of the body enter to right atrium through superior ven cava, and from lower parts of the body deoxygenated blood reach to right atrium through inferior vena cava. From right atrium blood enter to right ventricle through tricuspid valve. Now blood passes from right ventricle to lungs through pulmonary artery for oxygenation. After oxygenation, blood passes to left auricle through pulmonary vein. From left atrium blood enter to left ventricle. From this region the oxygenated blood passes to aorta which supply blood to all parts of the body.
