A fracture of the humerus that injures the radial nerve would cause a motor deficit related to damage to the area around the shaft of the humerus. The radial nerve also provides cutaneous innervation - so sensory loss is also possible or likely from such an injury. Damage or injury to the radial nerve and deep brachial vessels are both likely if the humerus is fractured because both of these are closely associated with the humerus.
