What is the name of the process in which glucose is converted to pyruvic acid?

    The process of conversion from glucose to pyruvic acid is known as gluconeogenesis. In this process fatty acids react with acetyl-CoA, also it can construct the amino acid alanine and be converted into ethanol or lactic acid via fermentation.
