    If a patient has a systemic candidal infection, and the provider has ordered oral fluconazole (Diflucan) 400 mg on day 1 and 200 mg once daily thereafter. It would be best for the nurse to know the reason from the contact the provider the reason of cutting the dose in half for the clarification.
