How does the tilt of earths axis affect how the Suns rays strike earth

    It is hotter near the equator because the Sun's rays hit the Earth more directly in that area so they are focused or concentrated more in that area

    It is more hotter near the the equator because the sun's rays hit the earth more directly in the area so they are focused more in that area. The tilt does not have that big of affect on how the sun rays strike the earth.
