In eukaryotic cells, what name is given to the region between the nucleus and the plasma membrane?

    The cytoplasm is the region between the nucleus and the plasma membrane in every eukaryotic cell. Cytoplasm is also present in prokaryotic cells. It has cytosol which is a gel-like substance and the organelles which is the internal sub-structures of the cell.
