    Glucose, fructose and galactose are the simplest sugars, monosaccharides which are formed from the breakage of the more complex sugars. All of them are absorbed by intestinal cells through transporter channels and directly passed into the blood.

    After digestion of fats, monoglycerides and fatty acids can freely diffuse into the intestinal cells. Once inside, from the digested fatty acids and monoglycerides triglycerides are formed and then packaged with cholesterol, phospholipids and proteins into very large particles. Those particles are lipoproteins called chylomicrons. Chylomicrons are absorbed into lymph vessels called lacteals.
