    I think the effects of interbreeding in a population would include; reducing the number of offspring, decreasing genetic variability and decreasing susceptibility to a disease. Interbreeding involves introduction of genetic material from one populatio

    of a species to another, thereby changing the composition of the gene pool of the receiving population. Therefore, the introduction of new alleles through gene flow increases variability within the population and makes possible new combinations of traits.
