A thermometric property is any physical property that can be used to measure the thermodynamic temperature of an object. The most widely known is that of the change of volume of mercury in a capillary tube to make a traditional thermometer. Other thermometric devices are thermocouples and thermistors, whose electrical properties change with changing temperature.
