The nursing diagnoses most suggested by this comment is anxiety.

Guillain-Barre syndrome is a very rare and devastating neurological disorder. The first symptoms include weakness and tingling and they are caused by the immune system attacking the nerve cells. The therapy involves plasma exchange and/or immunoglobulin therapy. Although these therapies are effective and the syndrome is treatable, the recovering patient can often experience anxiety. The anxiety can be an expression of the fear of the disease coming back or leaving some serious irreparable problem.
