When the mother of Maria was deported and she is now staying with her cousin and sharing room with other children and cries a lot yet does not have energy to do anything, she is suffering from a Post traumatic stress disorder. This is a disorder developing in people experiencing a shocking or dangerous event. Example is the child separation and parental loss that would have adverse effect on a child's mental health.
