What role do a society's beliefs play in an objective process like science?

The media plays a very important role as a source of information, education and entertainment, whether it is radio, movies or TV. It accommodates the world in to a single village which is saturated of media-information, that cause us to wear what we do, drink what we drink and eat what we eat.
