Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme used in living cells comprising of a dinucleotide linked through phosphate group, with one nucleotide linked with an adenine base and the other with a nicotinamide base. Thus, it contains both phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N).
