Joseph has four different graduated cylinders.

He has a 10 mL cylinder marked in 0.1 mL increments, a 100 mL cylinder marked in 1 mL increments, a 250 mL cylinder marked in 5 mL increments, and a 500 mL cylinder marked in 10 mL increments.

If Joseph needs to measure a volume of 0.2 mLs for an experiment, which cylinder should he use to make the most precise measurement?

10 mL cylinder marked in 0.1 mL increments

    Explanation:

Since what Joseph needs in fraction, that is 0.2 mL, in order to make a precise measurement, the 10 mL cylinder that is graduated in 0.1 mL increments will provide the most precise result.

Other cylinders might also work but will not be as precise because they do not have fractional graduation. He will only end up estimating the required volume.
