    Different sea turtles have different diets. Some are omnivores while some are herbivores. Green sea turtles belong to the group of herbivorous sea turtles.

    The diet of hatchlings is different from that of the adults. Hatchlings are omnivorous and feed on mollusks and crustaceans. The adult sea turtles have to scrape off algae from rock surfaces and hence has a beak shaped like the teeth of a saw.

    Other type of sea turtles are loggerheads and leatherbacks that mainly feed on sponges and jellyfish respectively.
