Genome mapping is used in gene therapy and specific gene location in a genome.
Explanation:
Genetic mapping is a technique in molecular biology where the genome of an organism is sequenced ie its DNA is known.
These DNA sequences form genes, these genes are located on chromosomes along with histone proteins. T
The chromosomes are sequenced and specific gene location and size along with the number and specific nucleotide is known.
After knowing the exact location of gene on which chromosome it gets easier for research purpose and molecular markers are made to detect them in sample.
The gene therapy procedure gets sorted with knowing the exact gene and replacing the faulty ones.
