What is the difference between inorganic and organic compounds?

    organic compounds are compounds which have combination of carbon atom in there structure. ex. vitamins, milk, coal etc

    inorganic compounds are compounds which don't have any carbon atom in there structure ex. salt, iron, water etc

    organic compounds will contain a carbon atom (and often a hydrogen atom, to form hydrocarbons), while almost all inorganic compounds do not contain either of those two atoms. While most inorganic compounds do not contain carbon, there are a few that do.
