Aldosterone is a hormone released by cells in the adrenal gland in response to an anterior pituitary gland hormone. Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) is released by the posterior pituitary. Both hormones promote water retention by cells in the kidneys. Based only on this information, aldosterone and ADH illustrate that

Based on the above mentioned information, we can conclude that both of the above mentioned hormones are associated with the process of homeostasis.

    Explanation:

The phenomenon of maintenance of steady condition, both physically and chemical by the living organisms is known as homeostasis.

The aldosterone hormone that falls under the category of steroid hormone is the major hormone for the process of sodium conservation mainly from the kidneys, colon, salivary gland and sweat gland along with the excretion of potassium ions. This process eventually affects blood pressure and blood volume.

The hypothalamic neurons synthesize a hormone serving the function of tonicity regulation in the human system that is known as the antidiuretic hormone or vasopressin. Some of the major functions performed by this hormone include maintenance of circadian rhythm, analgesic effects, regulation of blood pressure, temper, temperature, and aggression, which triggers the absorption of sodium in the ascending Loop of Henle.

Hence, we conclude that the aldosterone hormone serves the function of sodium re-absorption and vasoporessin balances the tonicity thereby performing homeostasis.
