Explain why a dna molecule is called a zipper

    DNA is made up of two poly-nucleotide chains, and it forms a helix because hydrogen bonds form between the two chains. During replication an enzyme "Helicase" travels down the the DNA and splits the chain and it forms 2 separate strands.
