During enzymatic reaction the activation energy of the substrate is being decreased by the enzyme.

    Explanation:

Enzymes are homogenous, thermolabile, biological catalyst that exerts a complementary interaction with its substrate. Enzymes basicaly forms complementary interaction with the transition state of the enzyme substrate reaction thereby decreasing the activation energy or energy barrier of the substrate but do not have any effect on the equilibrium of the reaction.

As a result the velocity the of the reaction is increased and the enzume remains unchanged throught the reaction.
