    For clean supression of a protein, it is advisable to use small interfering RNAs (siRNAs). Although, chemical inhibition uses many chemical compounds which may directly bind with the protein and cause its inhibition; but they can also have many off-target effects. siRNA technique specifically degrades the target mRNA that specifies the protein.
