    Answer:Beta-lactam and macrolide antibiotics are considered safe in pregnancy and are effective for most community-acquired pneumonia in pregnancy. Your doctor may also recommend over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers to reduce fever and pain. This can include acetaminophen (Tylenol)
