Zygote
Explanation:
Fertilization is the process whereby the nucleus of a male gamete fuses with the nucleus of a female gamete to form a zygote. This occurs in the oviduct following copulation. A diploid zygote is formed. The zygote undergoes several mitotic divisions as it moves down the oviduct to form a sphere of cells called blastocyst.
