When Darwin went to Galapagos Islands, he observed an amazing diversity of characters. He realized that there were many varieties of finches in the same island. He collected two sets of parent offspring data in two different years. Most of the parents who captured before their beak depth were known then he captured offspring with fledged and measured their beak depth. He calculated average beak depth of two parents and then compared with offspring beak depth.
