    Bacteria comes under prokaryotes and its transcription starts at a specific site called promoter Promoters are specific sites on DNA where RNA polymerase binds and initiates transcription Bacterial promoters are always present upstream to + 1 transcription start site Promoters are 70 base pairs long and contain 2 conserved sequences of 6 base pairs at - 10 region and - 35 region. - 10 and - 35 sequences are real sites where RNA polymerase binds and if there is any mutation over there then transcription will be stopped or we can say can be terminated
