In blood types, a person can have type A, type B, type AB or type O blood.

Types A and B can either be homozygous dominant or heterozygous. Type O blood is always homozygous recessive. And type AB is co-dominant - so the person has a dominant allele for A and a dominant allele for B.

A woman who has type AB blood marries a man with type O blood.
