Dolly is a clone.

Explanation:

Dolly was the first clone made in the history of science where the first thing happened. It was made by the first cell taken by the mammal. The dolly production had proved that the genes which are present in the nucleus of maturely differentiated cell are capable of reverting to state of embryonic totipotency.

It can create a cell which can revert into any part of the animal. The birth of Dolly was on 5th july 1996.
