The Sense of smell is not routed through thalamus.
Explanation:
Thalamus is the part of the brain that is situated between the cerebral cortex and the midbrain.
Its main function is to direct sensory impulse from the lower parts of the brain and spinal cord to appropriate parts of cerebrum.
Almost all sensory impulses are routed through thalamus except the sense of smell.
The sense of smell is directly routed to the brain through olfactory neurons by the chemo-reception.
