North America has moved northwest from the Equator.

    Explanation:

The time period before 200 to 130 million years was known as the Mesozoic Era. The temperature was warm and there existed a supercontinent called Pangea.

Due to the Continental drift, the land was split and moved to their new locations (as seen now in the maps). First, from Pangea, the land split into Laurasia and Gondwana.

Both North and South America presented between Laurasia and Gondwana. Later, they started separating as a fragment from Gondwana and Laurasia. And North America moved north from the Equator and towards the western side the Earth.
