Answer: Three examples of Monosaccharides are glucose, ribose, and fructose.

Three examples of disaccharides are lactose, sucrose and maltose.

Three examples of polysaccharides are starch, glycogen and cellulose.

Explanation: Monosaccharides are simple sugars that contains only one sugar molecule. A monosaccharide can be a triose, a tetrose, a pentose, a hexose and a heptose containing three, four, five, six and seven carbon atoms respectively in their backbones.

Disaccharides are sugars that contains two sugar molecules joined by a glycosidic bond. Example is sucrose which contains two six carbon sugars: D-glucose and D-fructose.

Polysaccharides are sugars containing more than twenty monosaccharide units, joined by different types of glycosidic bonds. Polysaccharides differ from each other by the type of monosaccharide units they contain, the length of their chains, the types of bonds joining the units and in the extent of their branching.

monosaccharides are; glucose, fructose and galactose

disaccharide are; sucrose, maltose and lactose

polysaccharide are; starch, cellulose and glycogen

    Explanation:

monosaccharide are called simple sugars found in organisms are the hexose sugars. they are the most important energy storage molecules in organism. it has chemical formular of C6H1206.

dissaccharides are formed by the joining or condensation of two simple sugar molecules with chemical formula of C12H22O11.

disaccharides are large molecules formed by the condensation of hundreds of simple sugar molecules. Starch and cellulose are found in plants while glycogen are found in animals.
