    Explanation:

    Enzymes are organic catalysts which are protein in nature hence they are sensitive to changes in temperature. They work best only within a narrow range of temperature between 35-40°c. As the temperature increases, the optimum temperature is reached. Above the optimum temperature, the rate of reaction decreases sharply because higher temperatures denatures enzymes thus inactivating them.
