weathering can be defined as the process by which rocks are broken down into small (little) particles. the impact of human activities affect the process of weathering. due to the rate of human activites, there are lots of pollutions that affect the environment and thereby affect the rate / amout of weathering. some of this pollutions which increase the amount of weathering. pollution is usually the contamination of an environment by poisonous or harmful substance. pollution can be in the air, land or even water and these pollutions leads to erosion and run-off, and increase chemicals in the groundwater thereby adding in the rate and amount of weathering. pollution in the air leads to decay in stones and also plants and animals remains also leads to cracks in rocks thereby breaking it down to smaller particles. due to contamination of water bodies, salty water is form and this also play a huge role in weathering.

Pollution promote the acidic impact in respect to dust deposition,. It leads to a decline in the rates of soil formation and to increased rates of erosion. human impact can be improve by developing of a better and safe technique that will enhance weathering and also not have negative effect such as control measure be set in place, technological tools can also be used to improve weathering.
