In nature, the oxygen element mainly occurs in gaseous form. While hydrogen is also formed of two atoms and is also a colorless, odorless gas just like oxygen. But hydrogen is generally found as water.

Oxygen and hydrogen are commonly diatomic molecules, not compounds. Hydrogen is the most abundant and light of all elements in the earth. Hydrogen reacts with oxygen to form water. Hydrogen too forms parts of many compounds such as acids, hydrocarbons in organic compounds and so on. About 10% by mass of human body is composed of hydrogen. Oxygen, as it already known is the elements responsible for the survival of living organisms. It forms about 65% of human body by mass.
