Polarity is the property of a molecule by which it exhibits negative pole and positive pole. This facilitates formation of bonds known as polar bonds.
Explanation:
Cohesion: It is also attributed to the polarity of the molecule. In other words cohesion is the process by which like or similar molecules are attracted and binds to each other. Water forms a classic example of strong cohesive bonding.
On contrary to this adhesion is the property by which unlike type of molecules and attracted and cling to each other. Adhesion is generally both polar and non polar type of interactions between two mutual molecules. Example - When the water structs with needle like structure of pine, the force which bind the water to the needle like structure of pine leaves is known as adhesion.
