Suppose gene A is orthologous in species 1 and species 2 and gene B is paralogous to gene A in species 1. Gene A differs considerably between species, yet gene A and gene B show little divergence from each other. Suggest a sequence of two evolutionary events that could cause this outcome.

    As the information given in the question, it can be concluded that both the species A and B has been diverged from each other. The gene B is produced from the gene A in the species 1. This diversion might occurs before the event of the gene duplication.
