Answer: The nitrogen base pair in RNA but not DNA is Uracil=Adenine base pair.
Explanation:
RNA and DNA are nucleic acids. RNA is ribonucleic acid while DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid. Nucleotides are the building blocks of RNA and DNA. Nucleotides have three components: A nitrogenous base, a ribose or deoxyribose sugar and a phosphate group. The nitrogenous bases found in nucleic acids are Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, Cytosine and Uracil. In RNA, the bases found are Adenine, Uracil, Cytosine and Guanine. In base pairing in RNA, Adenine pairs with Uracil while Guanine pairs with Cytosine. But in DNA, the bases found are Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine and Guanine. In DNA base pairing, Adenine pairs with Thymine while Guanine pairs with Cytosine.
