    Explanation:

    There can be two possibilities when it comes to defective protein synthesis. The gene might be responsible for single character or it could control more than one character.

    It depends on the type of gene which is harmed and faulty protein is synthesized from it. Example: If there is any type of mutation caused in the gene which is responsible for sickle cell anemia, it can lead to this syndrome.

    Basically result is any disease or syndrome controlled by that gene.
