The laws of thermodynamics illustrate the physical quantities, that is, the energy, temperature, and entropy, which characterize thermodynamic systems at thermal equilibrium. The following are the laws of thermodynamics:
1. The first law of thermodynamics: With the passing of the energy in the form of heat, work, or matter within or outside of a system, there is a change in the internal energy of the system in accordance with the law of conservation of energy.
2. The second law of thermodynamics: The sum of the entropies of the associating thermodynamic systems increases in a natural thermodynamic process.
3. The third law of thermodynamics: The system's entropy becomes a constant value when the temperature inclines towards absolute zero.
