    c) a ribosome reads a start codon

    Explanation:

Translation is a process in which a protein is synthesized messenger RNA in (mRNA). The process of translation occurs in ribosomes which mainly synthesize proteins. The ribosomes composed of many mRNA molecules and proteins. The ribosome translate mRNA molecule in three stages namely initiation, elongation and termination. During initiation ribosomal subunits binds to the start of the mRNA sequence. The a molecule of tRNA carries amino acid methionine which to the start codon of the mRNA sequence During elongation ribosomes continuously translate each codon. Amino acid added to a chain by means of a peptide bond. Termination occurs when a ribosome reaches a stop codon,
