An aquatic arthropod called a Cyclops has antennae that are either smooth or barbed. The allele for barbs is dominant. In the same organism, resistance to pesticides is a recessive trait. Make a "key" to show all the possible genotypes (and phenotypes) of this organism.

Lets consider the allele for barbs to be B and the allele for smooth to be 'b'. The possible genotypes and phenotypes will be

    BB (homozygous dominat barbs)

    Bb (heterozygous barbs)

    bb (smooth)

Lets consider the resistant allele to pesticide as 'r' and the non - reistant as 'R'.

The possible genotypes and phenotypes will be

    RR (non - resistant)

    Rr (non - resistant)

    rr (resistant)
