    Homoglycan:

    Homoglycan are the chemicals that are made up of one type of monosaccharide monomers only. They are the homopolymer carbohydrates. For example: galactans made up of glucose unit linked through the glycosidic bonds.

    Heteroglycan:

    Heteroglycans are the chemical that are made up of different monosaccharide units. They are heteropolymer carbohydrates. For example: Hayluronic acid made of D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine linked through glycosidic bonds.
