Actually, for the water cycle to work, water has to get from the earth's surface back up into the skies so it can rain back down and ruin your parade or water your crops or yard or even make your day not comfortable because of rain. It is the invisible process of evaporation that changes liquid and frozen water into water-vapor gas, which then floats up into the skies to become clouds.

Evaporation - Drying clothes under the sun: water is removed from the clothes as water droplets get evaporated due to heat of the sun. 2. Drying up of water and potholes from streets: water gets evaporated from the potholes and puddles due to rain as it gets evaporated due to heat of the sun.

Transpiration - the process where plants absorb water through the roots and then give off water vapor through pores in their leaves. An example of transpiration is when a plant absorbs water in its roots.

Precipitation - water that falls from the clouds towards the ground, especially as rain or snow.
