Cells do not function as well at high temperatures because the rapid movement of the molecules of the cell membrane makes the cells leaky. Also, many proteins denature and lose their function at high temperatures. Excessive heat can also cause denaturation of membrane embedded proteins can cause gaps in the cell membrane thereby making the cells even more leaky. True or false?

    The statement is true.

    Explanation:

High temperatures cause proteins to denature and the protein percentage in the cell is really high. In general, cells work properly between some temperature ranks, as well as enzymes and other molecules. When these ranks are exceeded many functions in the cell low. For example, enzymes, which are also protein, catalyze metabolic reactions and pathways. The cease or lower of these processes would have several consequences in the cell.
