    Diploid number is 24 and Haploid is 12

    Explanation:

    By the process of mitosis, diploid chromosomes are produced. Diploid chromosomes are the number of chromosomes which are present in each cell of an organism except the sex cells. Each chromosomes occur in pairs and hence are known as diploids in these cells.

    As a result of meiosis, haploid chromosomes are produced. In the sex cells, the numbers of chromosomes is reduced to half so that chromosome consistence can be achieved after fertilization.
